URI's lab houses the most advanced and sophisticated testing and measuring instruments to assure material specification, product performance and reliability that are second to none. Our laboratory technologists and engineers and researchers branch their expertise not in just Rubber Technology but also across Polymers, Plastics and metal Technology.

Laboratory equipment which include the Co- ordinate measuring machine(CMM), Universal Testing Machine(UTM), Dynamic Mechanical Testing Machine(DMT) for measurement of Dynamic and Static Stiffness, Tan Delta, Dampening Coefficient, Complex Storage Modulus, Loss Modulus ( useful inputs for design of Engine Mountings and its performance study), Ozone Chamber, Engine Mounting Endurance Test Machine, High Temperature and Cryogenic Temperature PVT (Pressure, Vibration & Temperature) Testing machine for Hoses, Auto Control Burst Pressure & Vacuum Pressure Measurement Machine, Rheometer, Mooney Viscometer, FTIR, Hose Leak Test and many other testing equipment are constantly in service for R&D activities, Product development and Product quality assurance.
