Mr. Ajit Rai, co-founder of United Rubber Industries (I) Pvt. Ltd., is Chairman & Managing Director since the inception of URI in 1976. He has expanded URI from a start up enterprise to one of the leading manufacturer, supplier and exporter of Rubber Components in India. A visionary par excellence whose charismatic leadership is a striking quality. He believes in continual innovation, creativity and hardwork. According to him companies must transform operations so that their products, quality and service are second to none, and this must be done at a pace faster than lightening. Tomorrow is uncertain. Move, conclude, progress is his mantra for today. He leads the company's strategic planning, management and technology development besides sharing responsibilities of day-to-day operations. His vision has always energized change and continuous improvement. He stimulates ordinary people to perform extra ordinarily at URI. He has been honoured by various associations and committees for his entrepreneurial skill and business excellence. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Commerce and Management.
His contribution to society is immense, supported by an uncompromising system and work ethics, which excuses none, most of all his own self. With this attitude and traits he built his industrial units and extended his help, resources and energies to train his subordinates. His deep faith in himself to help employees grow to their full potential is very strong. In this process he has initiated and encouraged so many employees to turn into successful entrepreneurs. He is essentially a strong supporter of human resource development strategies and training inputs.
